About Amala Youth Hopeline

Amala is a confidential and culturally competent youth support program for Muslim youth through a phone line available 5-days a week, 4-hours per day. The top Muslim youth issues Amala counselors hear about on a daily basis include but not limited to anxiety, family pressure, depression, identity issues, relationship problems, and religious pressure. The Amala counselors guide youth to process their emotions and feelings to best fit their needs. Amala counselors are younger adults who understand the struggles of youth. These counselors receive 30 hours of training on self-care, counseling skills, suicide assessment, and cultural values.

The Amala Youth Hopeline is a free, anonymous, and confidential space where you can connect with caring peers who truly understand. From everyday stress to bigger struggles, we’re here to listen and support. Operating Hours: 6 PM – 10 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
