Get free support from a suicide hotline in United States

Suicidal thoughts can affect anyone. They are more common than you might think, which is why there are 27 suicide hotlines (or helplines and crisis lines) in United States that can offer help to anyone struggling with feeling suicidal. Suicidal thoughts might involve:
  • A deep sense of hopelessness
  • Feeling unwanted or like a burden to others
  • Feeling like you need to escape, or stop the pain
  • Feeling like you can't cope with the pain anymore
  • Not wanting to be alive anymore
  • Making plans for ending your life
  • Feeling like nothing matters anymore
  • The thought of ending your life gives you a sense of relief
When you're experiencing severe emotional distress, you may feel desperate to relieve your pain. Suicide is not the answer. It may feel like the only way to manage problems that seem unbearable, but it's not. There are always other options and there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
It's normal to feel like nobody will get you when you're feeling suicidal. It may even feel like you're beyond help. But crisis supporters don't think so. Crisis supporters in United States want to help you and they are available 24/7 to lend a listening ear.
If you feel like you might need support with thoughts of suicide, try reaching out to a hotline in United States. It's free and confidential.
